The Prepaid Wallet Engine

TiffinManager operates on an upfront prepaid wallet system.

Billing Mechanism

  1. Customers fund their prepaid wallet via online Razorpay gateway or cash/UPI offline deposits.
  2. At the category cutoff time (delivery_start_time - cutoff_minutes), the system validates: customer.wallet_balance >= customer.min_wallet_balance.
  3. If sufficient, an order record is created, and the plan's daily rate is debited from the customer's wallet automatically.
  4. An immutable WalletTransaction record is logged with timestamp, amount, transaction type (credit/debit), and updated closing balance.
